Victor Diaz Zapanta is the user experience practice lead at Skylight. With over a decade of digital experience in the political and government spheres, Victor is a passionate advocate for the user-centered design process. At Skylight, he’s helped transition teams away from stakeholder-centered design and towards a user-centered process, working as a design leader for healthcare-related projects including CDC’s SimpleReport. Before joining Skylight, Victor helped build the first digital application for American Citizenship, led design and research on the government transparency website FOIA.gov, and helped launch the 18F method cards project. He was a founding member of the Technology+Innovation team at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Victor misses the sound of a 2400 baud modem handshake dearly.
