Spencer Putney is vice president and principle product designer in the Consumer Lending Product Enablement group at Wells Fargo. His role in Consumer Lending is the Human-centered Design Transformation Lead. Spencer has led teams focused on identifying and implementing transformative customer experiences, including facilitating multiple design and ideation sessions. In his current role, he is driving adoption of Design Thinking tools and approaches across Consumer Lending with a focus on elevating product teams to a true customer-centric mind-set while delivering innovative and successful services through Agile. Areas of focus include deep research capabilities, extensive design tools/exercises and true collaborative platforms.

During his tenure, Spencer has lead teams to deliver new digital experiences for financial services, including online banking, digital account applications, and status tools. He and his team continue to develop a strategic customer engagement model while integrating Design Thinking approaches into Agile delivery methodology.
