Charles Weir has researched Developer Centered Security at Lancaster University, UK, since 2015. Prior to that he had thirty years in industry as a researcher, software architect, design consultant and company CEO, specializing in software development, especially for terminals and mobile devices. He was technical lead for the first smartphone, led the development of the first mobile money app for Android, and ran a successful software development company averaging 20 employees for 17 years.
