Plan your family vacay at Agile2024!
Looking for something fun for your family this summer? But you also need to advance your education in the Agile world? No problem! Pack up the family and head to Texas for Agile2024 and a week of fun in the Dallas/Fort Worth area!
The Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center is conveniently located in Grapevine, the center of the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex – making it easy to get to a number of attractions for visitors of all ages! Here are a few options (there are many more) so you can start your planning now.
Grapevine
- Water Park at the Gaylord Texan – We all know it will be warm in July, but a day at the water park is the perfect way to beat the heat and, for the kiddos, burn off some energy! And don’t forget, the lazy river is a great way to relax!
- Meow Wolf – Change the way you see your world and yourself with a visit to this immersive art experience!
Fort Worth
- Fort Worth Stockyards – Step into the true west when you visit the Fort Worth Stockyard National Historic District. From original brick walkways to the wooden corrals, every inch of the stockyards tells the true history of Texas’s famous livestock industry.
- Fort Worth Zoo – Home to more than 7,000 native and exotic animals and has been named as a top zoo in the National Family Life magazine, the Los Angeles Times, and USA Today!
Dallas
- Perot Museum – Everything from dinosaurs to DNA to diamonds is packed into five levels of hands-on discovery and adventure. Prepare to amaze your brain!
- Klyde Warren Park – A 5.2-acre public park built over Woodall Rogers Freeway in downtown Dallas. This highly active space provides daily free programming for the public — ranging from yoga to outdoor concerts — and it offers a number of restaurants and food trucks.
- Dallas Zoo – This 106-acre zoo is the largest and most historic zoo in Texas!
- The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza – Located in the former Texas School Book Depository building, the museum chronicles the assassination and legacy of President John F. Kennedy. A “must'' for history buffs!
- The Arboretum & Botanical Garden – A 66-acre garden located on the southeastern shore of White Rock Lake, which opened in 1984 and hosts 19 named gardens.
Arlington
- AT&T Stadium – Home of the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL as well as the Cotton Bowl Classic, the Big 12 Championship Game, and a host of other activities. Check out the website for tour information.
- Six Flags Over Texas – The Thrill Capital of Texas! This 212-acre amusement park is home to 14 world-class coasters and more than 100 attractions! Fun for the entire family!
- Hurricane Harbor – Another great way to enjoy summer in Texas! With more than 40 rides and attractions, there is something for everyone!
- World Series Champion Texas Rangers – Yes, the Texas Rangers WILL be in town during Agile2024! Enjoy watching the world champions in Globe Life Field, which is climate-controlled (think 72 degrees in July) and offers a host of fun food and beverage options.
Frisco
- Frisco RoughRiders – The Texas Rangers Double-A affiliate, the RoughRiders, play at beautiful Riders Field in Frisco and are also in town during Agile2024! Riders Field is widely recognized as one of the best minor league baseball parks – and offers a variety of features and amenities, including a lazy river.
- The Star in Frisco – This 91-acre campus is home to the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters and practice facility.
The Agile Alliance team will provide additional details regarding the different activities (and the Grapevine CVB will provide a microsite to make planning easier) closer to the conference. But keep these ideas in mind for a vacation to remember!
