YOUR BADGE WILL BE REQUIRED TO ATTEND!
The party venue is some distance from the conference venue, so please take some time to read the details below about the various ways of getting there and back. It has been known to rain in Scotland 😂 so consider bringing something to keep you dry.
By Rail
Edinburgh has two railway stations in the city centre. Waverley is the main station with all trains stopping there and is the most convenient for delegates attending events at the University of Edinburgh. Edinburgh has direct routes to many UK cities, including 25 trains a day to London, with an average journey time of 4 hours 15 minutes.
Haymarket train station is located to the west of the city centre with only some trains stopping there.

By Bus
For getting to the party, there are lots of buses that leave from near the conference venue (e.g. 3, 14, 29, 30, 31, 33, 37). We recommend you use Google maps or travelinescotland.com to make sure you know accurate timings and where to get on and off the bus. The fare is £2.00 and they accept contactless payments.
There are fewer buses for getting back, but a regular service continues throughout the night. After midnight you’ll need to get one of the night buses (e.g. N3, N30) which leave approximately every 15 minutes. The fare is £5.00 and they accept contactless payments.
By Foot or Bicycle
The walk to the party takes around 35 minutes. The route is straightforward and fairly flat, taking you through the university district and skirting the historic Old Town. If you are able, this is what we would recommend - especially on the way there. Rather than reproduce a map here, we suggest you use your favourite GPS software e.g. Google or Apple maps.
By Car/Taxi
There are plenty of cab companies (e.g. City Cabs +44 0131 228 1211) and Uber also operates in Edinburgh. Contact one of the organising team if you would like help booking taxis to get you to/from the party.
