Since the introduction of ChatGPT and similar technologies, Scrum Masters have increasingly leveraged AI to grow their operational efficiency. Scrum Masters can use AI tools to automate repetitive tasks, analyze data, and provide insights for informed decision-making. AI can also be used to streamline communication, identify patterns, predict potential risks, and optimize workflows within Agile methodologies. In this workshop, we will critically review how Scrum Masters and Agilists who are facilitating teams use AI to help support, optimize, and even take over their duties. We plan to develop, refine and subsequently publish an overview of how AI is currently being leveraged by Agile team facilitators. Beyond this main theme, the research workshop will explore selected research challenges involved in effectively applying AI throughout the process of growing productive teams. Large-scale agile comprises issues, such as: inter-team coordination, knowledge sharing, continuous software development, and project models that facilitate several self-managing teams. In addition to invited keynote speakers and paper presentations there will be small group discussions in the form of World Café (or similar technique), focusing on the main topics presented in the talks. We plan to have plenty of time for discussion and networking. The workshop will connect people who have interests in research on large-scale agile development.
