The session enables practitioners to adapt product lifecycle and development processes with sustainable approaches. We plan to demonstrate and address relevant problem statements and subsequent fallouts through on-ground practices and experiences from the IT industry. Present day product development practices, particularly in IT do not take into account sustainability principles or considerations. This is a growing problem reflected in: - Limited consideration of carbon footprint, sustainability development goals during product conceptualization, customer experience journeys, envisioned usage, and target customer segment - Carbon footprint awareness of IT impacts and requirements - Limited sustainability considerations in IT product lifecycle - Contribution of the product towards SDGs We propose to anchor an interactive session with demonstrations of Approaches and methods to adapt product envisioning and customer journeys for sustainability with answers to the following but not limited to - Addressing SDG and socio-economic construct of the targeted user ecosystem - Optimizing impact on the environment impacts and carbon hotspots in IT landscape, product lifecycle with real life examples - Green Product Design, Business process sustainability and how it will be sold, fulfilled, serviced, billed, paid and renewed - Techniques for IT sustainability with greener code, Sourcing Sustainability, greener IT operations, maintenance and retirement
