Emerging Design...But Not Too Much
Description
I grew up in the myth of emerging design, I wondered how this married with the concept of architecture and with the frameworks that increasingly pervade our code. I have changed many projects, dealt with many legacy codebases, and found common and recurring patterns in them! In this talk, I will bring you my experience of how architecture and emerging design can combine to improve, step by step, old codebases. You will take home a true story and some advice that I hope will be useful to you if you come across codebases like the ones I've seen.
