Adam is an expert in enabling client outcomes with software and IT solutions, mostly in the Internet, telecom, cloud, and digital publishing domains. He’s also an author, consultant, and coach. Adam avoids simplistic “agile vs waterfall” distinctions and employs elements of both as needed. Adam believes that project success flows from people thinking and working naturally together, which has many challenges in a distributed team.
Since his very first project (17 locations, 3 continents, and 8 countries), Adam has refined approaches to mitigate time zone and cultural differences, distributed knowledge management and communications entropy. Distributed collaboration is the “canary in the coal mine” for latent team issues, and Agile teams are especially sensitive to loss of team cohesion. Even with heaps of technology, the intensity of technology integration can compound the problem.
