So often in our workplace we celebrate the wins but very rarely do we take a deep dive into failure, and how to do it more effectively! This session is set up as an advanced guide for failing, specifically how to:
1. Fail Fast
2. Fail Big
3. Fail with a Purpose.
In this interactive session, we will explore business examples from multiple industries, including cross-overs with Machine Learning (ML)/Artificial Intelligence (AI), companies going public, managing/organizing 50 agile squads, and everything in between. As a group, we will examine different scenarios and get votes, and thoughts on not how to succeed, but how to fail. After attending this session you will be charged with going back to your respective organizations and failing fast, big, and on purpose, all while saying you've gotten hands-on training on the subject.
*Connect failure to the larger software perspective on failure, intentional vs non intentional failings
*Contrast consequences deliberate failures, specifically of failing fast vs failing slowly, failing small vs failing big, and and failing with a purpose vs failing trivially
*Apply the learnings to a example scenario (where audience members participate and interact in a session on how to fail)
*Formulate suggested next steps for team members to go to their organization and fail fast
