There's not enough resources! Yes, I used the word. This is the one of the top complaints I heard when coaching and training over 50 teams in a Fortune 100 organization. If we just had more people on our teams.  After some conversation, the real truth comes out. There's too much work and we can't stop the flood gates! We all know it's a problem. So why is it so hard to stop? The first challenge is influencing others (especially senior leadership) that there is a problem and why you need to do something about it.

There will always be more demand than your teams can handle. This is actually a sign of a thriving business. A core issue is that when your team is under this stress, they typically don't know how to articulate the problem in order to start the conversation (and they're too busy to do anything about it anyway).
