No one ever said transitioning to agile is easy. While most organizations can determine why they want to be agile, the ingredients needed to achieve our goals may remain elusive. Like any big project, what is needed is to break this large goal down to its' core components.
Mike Cohn and Brian Milner, along with their colleagues at Mountain Goat Software, have identified 20 key elements of successful agile transformations we call The Elements of Agile. This is a free tool presented to the community that can help identify either team or organizational strengths as well as areas for improvement. Users of the tool receive an assessment of their current state as well as specific actionable actions they can take to improve problem areas.
Join us in this interactive session where we will walk through the elements and provide our own experience report of what we have learned across those who have taken the assessment. Participants will leave with a greater understanding of what is required to transition successfully to agile as well as access to the tool which will provide each person with a personalized report detailing where their team(s) should focus.
Learning Outcomes:
- Identify the 20 core elements needed to successfully transition to Agile
- Recognize the strengths and weaknesses of your current team(s)
- Explore possible next steps for improving the areas in need of most help in your transition
