The ability to design and facilitate effective and engaging meetings has always been a vital skill for Agilists. Your ability to facilitate virtual meetings and to engage your team members virtually is especially important today, as we are wrestling with the challenges of our collective new reality amidst the pandemic. Do you spend your days in seemingly endless online meetings that do not accomplish their goals and leave their participants disengaged? It doesn't have to be this way! In this workshop, you will learn how to design, prepare for, and facilitate Scrum events and meetings that consistently achieve results, engage and motivate team members, and boost your team’s productivity and collaboration. The session is lead by a Certified Professional Facilitator (CPF) who shares virtual facilitation fundamentals as well as immediately demos engagement techniques and creates space for the participants to practice and experience them. We will dive into virtual facilitation competencies and their application in Agile context. You will learn to use rich virtual engagement strategies and tools; to leverage skills such as guiding the group to consensus and desired outcomes; to create space for everyone to contribute; and to understand the importance of mindset as you are stepping into a role of a virtual facilitator.
